Welcome to Computer Intrusion. This site is dedicated to the science of computer forensics and computer intrusions.
Computer Forensics is a branch of forensic science pertaining to legal evidence found in computers and digital storage media. Computer forensics is also known as digital forensics. The field of computer forensics also has sub branches within it such as firewall forensics, network forensics, database forensics and mobile device forensics.
A Computer Intrusion is an incident of unauthorized access to data or an automated information system. Incident response is an organized approach to addressing and managing the aftermath of a security breach or attack. The goal is to handle the situation in a way that limits damage and reduces recovery time and costs. An incident response plan includes a step-by-step process that should be followed when an incident occurs.
This site attempts to consolidate some of the major forensic hardware, software, and other digital and computer intrusion sites. There are numerous other unnamed hardware and software vendors that may have been overlooked in these pages. Maresware and Company has many other linked resources and Insecure.org has a large number of security tools. |
